I've devoted my time to this cause because i work with seniors and their families in the Dallas area and see first hand how hard it is to cope with a loved one suffering from Alzheimer's/Dementia. While we work to educate and help manage the care of their loved ones as they progress through this disease, there is only so much we can do without a cure. I signed up to play football and wear pink (I hate the color pink) to fight Alzheimer's...what are you doing?About Kristen
At my day job I am Operations Manager for Senior Helpers, an at home health care. I attended Texas Tech University For Undergrad & Pepperdine University For Graduate School. You may not know it, but...
I hate the color pink.
I was lucky enough to have a grandmother, Edie, that lived to be 100 years old. While I loved every minute of the time I got to spend with her, her last 8 years were difficult as she became confused and forgetful due to Dementia. While she couldn't always remember where she was, or who she was with, her happy go lucky attitude never wavered. She had a strong faith, loving family and always presented with a calm, elegant and cheerful manner. She was truly an amazing woman and I hope to honor her positive attitude toward life against all obstacles.
